On Saturday night, June 8, inside of the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, former junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana (34-3, 31 KO’s) scored his biggest victory as a welterweight with a sixth round TKO over a very game Josesito Lopez (30-6, 18 KO’s).

The fight was full of momentum shifts, with Maidana being rocked in rounds three and four before turning the tide of the fight and scoring the stoppage to the crowd’s delight.

Photos from the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., as Cuba’s Erislandy Lara (18-1-2, 12 KO’s), captured a 10th round TKO over Alfredo Angulo (22-3, 18 KO’s) in a wild fight. Lara was dropped hard in rounds four and nine but caught Angulo with a crisp shot in the 10th that forced him to turn away, with the fight being called off moments later.
