With a little over a week remaining until his huge pay per view clash with Floyd Mayweather, WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez looks to be on target for the 152-pound catch weight that the two camps agreed upon.
At the WBC’s 7-Day weight check, Canelo came in at 157.4 pounds and should be able to shed off the remaining weight within the next week. Mayweather vs. Alvarez takes place on Sept. 14 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Showtime pay per view.
