In the early hours of Tuesday, May 7, pop superstar Rihanna took to her personal Instagram account and appeared to take a few shots at fashion designer Nicole Richie.

On Monday night, Richie was present inside of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the Costume Institute Gala, also known as the Met Ball.

While Rihanna couldn’t attend the event, as she was in Boston for her “Diamonds World Tour”, she did update her followers with a striking photo of Richie that included her personal opinion of her style.

“This b*tch makes me throw up!” Rihanna messaged about a photo of Richie, as she appeared to be trying to leave it as a compliment, as she added the hash tag “bestdressed #2013metgala @nicolerichie”.

Richie walked the Gala wearing a long white Topshop dress with a floral pattern, as reported by US Weekly. Richie also dyed her hair gray-blue to go with the punk theme of the evening.

Obviously taking no offense to Rihanna’s comments, Richie replied on her personal Instagram by stating “Currently shining bright like a diamond, a ruby, & 2 emeralds. Love me some @badgalriri”.
