Having led his star fighter, two-division titlist Tim Bradley, into battle against Manny Pacquiao twice in a two-year period, trainer Joel Diaz knows all too well of the abilities of the Filipino icon.

Pacquiao has no bigger option on the table other than a dream fight with Floyd Mayweather. The talk surrounding the matchup, one that has been discussed for the past five years, is very high again yet Diaz is unsure what to think of all the discussion.

“I don’t really comment about it anymore because it’s been going on for so long that now people don’t believe it,” Diaz told HustleBoss.com recently. “Sometimes they say it’s done and sometimes they say it’s not. I’m just going to leave it to them and if it’s going to happen it’s going to happen. I just think it’s a fight that we need to see.”

As for who he would pick in a showdown between the two, Diaz sees Mayweather having the edge.

“His defense and he’s very accurate,” Diaz explained of the five-division world champion. “Pacquiao has speed and power but he’s a little reckless when he goes in there for the hunt. He exposes himself a lot and he’s reckless.”
