Later tonight, from the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Diego, Calif., former national amateur champion Aaron “Gavilan” Garcia (14-3-2, 4 KO’s) returns to the ring when he meets up with Tijuana’s Daniel Ramirez (10-1, 4 KO’s) in a featherweight clash.
Garcia is riding a four-fight winning streak, with the most eye-opening victory in that run being a 5th round knockout over fellow prospect Kevin Hoskins last November.
Garcia is coached by rising trainer Vince Parra and will be looking to capture the vacant USA California State title with a victory. If successful, expect a big fight to come his way later this year.
