Later tonight, from the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, Calif., once-beaten junior middleweight prospect Daquan Arnett (11-1, 7 KO’s) will return to the ring when he faces off with well-traveled Angel Hernandez (16-16-1, 13 KO’s).

The melee marks the Florida native’s first match since his January points loss to Eddie Gomez in Brooklyn. Arnett fought a valiant match against the fellow prospect but he was dropped in the seventh round and was simply outhustled in too many of the scheduled ten rounds.

“After the loss I needed a break from the sport and to rethink a lot of things,” Arnett recently told HustleBoss.com. “Then I was ready to get back in the gym and get to work.”

Still just 21 years old, Arnett insists that he is bringing a whole new attitude with him into this fight.

“My mindset has definitely changed,” Arnett explained. “It’s gone from young warrior to business man and changed the way I look at the sport.”

Arnett has no qualms whatsoever with his next assignment being a little under the radar and highlighted the importance of this challenge.

“I’m not really thinking about that right now,” said Arnett. “Right now I’m just focused on bouncing back with some good wins, starting with this guy tomorrow.

“This fight will mean the first step in getting back to where I belong in this sport,” said Arnett.
