Juan Manuel Marquez was spotted in London on Thursday afternoon, as he took a minute to give his fans and update on the latest with his career.
Marquez is coming off a thorough outclassing of Mike Alvarado this past May and still remains a hot ticket in the sport. Speaking with IFL TV’s Kugan Cassius, Marquez showed his appreciation for being overseas ahead of his stable mate Daniel Estrada’s showdown with Kevin Mitchell on Saturday night.
“Thank you, it’s a very good place,” Marquez said of the UK. “Beautiful place and I feel very excited to be here.”
There was some talk about Marquez hoping to challenge IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook sometime in 2015 but the Mexican superstar played it cool when discussing his road ahead.
“I don’t know,” stated Marquez. “Right now I’m back to Mexico, but I don’t know what will happen in the future.”
Marquez also shared his thoughts on the latest buzz surrounding a Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao tussle.
“All the people want to see the fight,” Marquez explained. “All the fans of boxing want to see the fight. I think Mayweather is very smart and a counter puncher. I think Mayweather will win the fight.”
