Whether or not we will ever see Floyd Mayweather face off with Manny Pacquiao inside of a prize ring remains to be seen, but there is no questioning just how much the boxing community and general public worldwide wants to see this fight.
After Mayweather and Pacquiao came face to face with one another on Tuesday night in Miami, followed by an hour-long meeting to discuss particulars, there is again a new sense of hope of this dream match coming off.
Speaking with longtime boxing analyst Larry Merchant, he still seems unsure what to think of all of the talk.
“I did hear about it,” Merchant told HustleBoss.com recently. “Can’t be a bad thing but I don’t know if it’s a good thing.”
What Merchant does know for sure is just how groundbreaking of an event we will be seeing if Mayweather-Pacquiao does come to fruition.
“Again, it’s a reflection of the fight that transcends boxing and the fight that people want to see,” Merchant stated. “I don’ think they know or understand all of the factors that have delayed the fight or that go into the equation of trying to make it happen.”
