It was officially announced this week that Floyd Mayweather will be facing off with former welterweight champion Andre Berto on Sep. 12. The bout will take place on SHOWTIME pay per view from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev.

The vibe inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club has been relatively low key, polar opposite from his camp for Manny Pacquaio, and the Berto fight definitely has a different feel to it.

Catching up with Mayweather’s Uncle and co-trainer Roger Mayweather, he seems to believe Floyd will figure everything out next month.

“My nephew, he’s going to do what he needs to do,” Roger told Hustle Boss on Wednesday. “Find a way to whoop his ass, one way or another.”

Roger, a former champion at both 130 and 140 pounds during his fighting days, hasn’t lost his ability to trash talk over the years but seemed more amused than anything when informed of Berto’s claims of knocking out Floyd come fight night.

“Well, we’ll see,” said Roger. “Everybody says what they’re going to do. Somebody’s got to win and somebody’s got to lose.”
