Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana’s rematch on September 13, 2014 has attracted enough hype that the match will be playing in movie theaters around the United States, courtesy of Fathom Events.

The match continues to garner more interest than the original fight, very much due to Maidana’s ability to stay in the mix in their first meeting. And while the betting lines favor Mayweather, there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that this rare Mayweather rematch will be well worth watching.

Fans have Maidana to thank for such an intriguing first contest between the two welterweights. The Argentinian threw 858 punches at Mayweather, connecting on 26 percent of his shots. That constant pressure makes for a very watchable affair, as it visibly took “Money” a few rounds to get comfortable with the pace Maidana was bringing.
