According to a report from CaliVix.com, Los Angeles Lakers star guard Kobe Bryant is beginning to step up his workout routine.

Despite not providing fans or insider with a timetable on his return, Bryant did express optimism towards his comeback.

Bryant suffered a torn Achiles this past April and has been working towards recovery.

“I feel pretty good, I’m stepping it up,” Bryant claimed. “I’m looking forward to practice and seeing what I can do from a conditioning standpoint, rev it up a little bit.”

Philadelphia’s Danny Garcia is coming off of the biggest victory of his career in upsetting Argentina’s Lucas Matthysse last month inside of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A slight underdog heading into the fight, Garcia would show excellent ring smarts and great composure as he weathered an early storm from Matthysse before settling down and taking over the second half of the action.

Garcia would prevail by a close unanimous decision, successfully defending his WBA and WBC junior welterweight titles in the process.

In the wake of that performance, Garcia’s stock has again risen significantly, with fans now eyeing his every move.

During a recent roundtable discussion with the media, Garcia was asked if a fight with his friend and fellow titlist Adrien Broner could be an option.

Following a recent health scare that saw him admitted to a hospital in Las Vegas last month, trainer Jeff Mayweather is back in the mix, as the former IBO junior lightweight champion was spotted inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club this past week.

Asked how it feels to reconnect with his stable of fighters, Mayweather seemed to appreciate simply being able to get back into his daily routine.

“It feels good to be back,” Mayweather confirmed. “I got a chance to train a few of my fighters. That was good. I didn’t really feel weak or anything. I’m looking forward to just getting back to normal. It’s a slow process but I’m happy to be back working.”
