Freddie Roach planning to hit the Wild Card in Los Angeles with Manny Pacquiao on March 1 to finish training for Bradley rematch

As he heads into his pivotal rematch with WBO welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley, Manny Pacquiao and his team seem content with how things have been playing out.
This past week, with stops in Los Angeles and New York, Pacquiao was able to come face to face with Bradley, the man who beat him by way of controversial split-decision in June of 2012.
And while the respect between both sides has been evident, there is also a very deep confidence that is easy to spot from all parties involved.
For Bradley this is his self-proclaimed shot at redemption while the 35-year old Pacquiao will look to build from the momentum of his comeback victory over Brandon Rios this past November in Macau, China.
For the Rios fight, Pacquiao spent a huge portion of his camp in his native General Santos City, Philippines.
This time around, however, trainer Freddie Roach will be looking to spend the final weeks working out of his Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles, Calif.
“I’m going to arrive from China after [Zou] Shiming’s fight and we’re going to spend a couple weeks in the Philippines,” Roach stated during a recent roundtable with the press.
Roach is targeting a March 1 return to Los Angeles and is confident that being locked down from nearly six weeks will be more than enough time to hone Pacquiao’s skills.
“Plenty, yes,” said Roach.

Manny Pacquiao responds to Tim Bradley; promises to bring aggressiveness and his killer instinct into rematch

As seen in recent update from HustleBoss.com, WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley recently expressed his belief that his next opponent Manny Pacquiao, who he faces in an April 12 rematch in Las Vegas, has seen his tenacity softened a bit heading into the twilight of his career.
“At the face off, he couldn’t even say that he wanted to knock me out,” Bradley said of his encounter with Pacquiao earlier this week.
“It’s like he’s so humbled and he believes in what he believes in,” Bradley added.
But if Bradley, who won a controversial split-decision over Pacquiao in June of 2012, is expecting an easy touch in a few months’ time, he may be in for a surprise.
“Yes, that’s what I want,” Pacquiao said during a recent talk with Marc Abrams in regards to Bradley’s comments. “I like that. He challenged me.”
Pacquiao admittedly let off the gas pedal in his first match with Bradley, an act that helped propel him towards a narrow defeat.
And with such a significant fight around the corner, you can sense how much Pacquiao is relishing the opportunity to turn the tables.
“Yes, I can still bring that aggressiveness and killer instinct and prove to the people and to the fans that I can still fight,” said Pacquiao. “I’m not done yet. My career in boxing is not done yet.”

Tim Bradley taken aback by Manny Pacquiao’s humble nature amidst rematch buildup

Given each man’s modest approach in life, it was hardly a surprise to see Tim Bradley and Manny Pacquiao show so much respect towards one another while hosting their kickoff press conference this past Tuesday in Los Angeles.
Having upset Pacquiao via a highly-controversial split-decision in June of 2012, Bradley has never tried to discredit the Filipino star’s abilities or downplay him as a threat.
Still, when reflecting back on Pacquiao’s unanimous decision victory over Brandon Rios this past November, a fight that came nearly a year after Manny’s knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez, Bradley seemed to see a softer version of the eight-division titlist who has stormed through so many capable foes.
“He wasn’t really willing to take the chances like I normally see him do,” Bradley explained of Pacquiao. “When he gets a guy hurt or stung, he’ll go after him. Like I said, that’s the compassionate Manny. I still think he’s like that.”
Bradley was able to get a deeper sense of just how truly grounded Pacquiao is while coming face to face with him during Monday’s promotional shoot for HBO.
“At the face off, he couldn’t even say that he wanted to knock me out,” a seemingly bemused Bradley claimed. “That he’s going to knock me out. You know what I mean? It’s like he’s so humbled and he believes in what he believes in. He’s a real man.”
Bradley suffered injuries to both of his feet in the first Pacquiao encounter and seems to take comfort in the belief that he will go into the rematch a far different man.
“Because I’m going to be healthy,” said Bradley. “Styles make fights and Manny’s a difficult style to deal with because he’s so fast and like I said, he uses his feet very well; his movement. This fight is not going to be easy by no means. It’s going to be a tough fight.”
