These days, the action inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club has slowed up noticeably in the wake of Vegas’ latest double header.

The Adrien Broner vs. Shawn Porter bout took place on Saturday, June 20 and the next day Rances Barthelemy defeated Antonio DeMarco in the main event of a Sunday afternoon card. Both shows took place from the MGM Grand.

Several upcoming fighters who train out of the Mayweather Boxing Club actually scored victories on the undercards that weekend, including Kevin Newman II, Lanell Bellows, Andrew Tabiti, Juan Heraldez, Charvis Holifield,¬†Sanjarbek Rakhmanov, J’Leon Love, Ronald Gavril, and Michael Hunter, so it can be understandable to know that the scene inside of the gym had slowed just a bit.

Still, on Monday afternoon, June 29, it was good to see some familiar faces putting in work.

Check below for more info.

Miah “Lil Champ” Davis is a 7-year old boxing up and comer and it’s hard to put into words the kind of intense work ethic she has while in training, whether on the heavy bag or on the mitts with Roger Mayweather.

Lanell Bellows scored a tough eight-round unanimous decision over veteran Marcus Upshaw to improve to 13-1-1 with 7 knockouts on Sunday, June 21, and he wasted little time in getting back into his office.

Promising lightweight prospect Maurice Lee (4-0, 2 KO’s) has a great story behind him and he is a new fixture inside of the gym after working with Mayweather in training camp as preparation for his victory over Manny Pacquiao.

Juan Heraldez is also back to work following his 2nd round TKO over Eric Bossier that saw him move to 8-0 with 6 knockouts.

It’s always good seeing former world champion Steve “2POUND” Forbes (35-14, 11 KO’s) in the mix. Stay tuned for news on his next bout.
