When I first met then-amateur prospect Ronnie Austion of Detroit this past April, I had a good feeling the kid could go far once he turned to the pro ranks.
Sparring with two talented professionals inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas on separate days in lightweight prospect Lydell Rhodes and welterweight contender Shawn Porter, Austion instantly impressed me with his poise and ability during his time in the ring.
Last night, inside of the Masonic Temple in his hometown, Austion would make his professional debut with a stoppage over David Harris.
Expect an in-depth interview with Austion in the coming days as well as exclusive coverage of his blossoming career.
