In an excellent fight, WBO middleweight champion Peter Quillen successfully defended his WBO middleweight crown after challenger Gabriel Rosado saw the fight stopped in the 10th round due to a nasty cut on his left eyelid. Quillen scored a knockdown in the second round but Rosado picked up a lot of momentum after that and appeared to be taking a lot of the late rounds. A jab from Quillen would cause the eventual cut that forced the ringside physician to halt the action. At the time of the stoppage, scorecards reading 90-80, 89-81, and 87-83 all favored Quillen. To be honest the first two scores were completely off base, as this was a competitive fight
