On Saturday, Jan. 19, four-division world champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (33-3-1, 24 KO’s) will face off with eight-division titlist and current WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KO’s) inside of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. On Tuesday afternoon, Broner hosted an open media workout inside of the famed 5th Street Gym in Miami, FL in advance of the big showdown.
Broner is surely being doubted by many ahead of the SHOWTIME pay per view collision with Pacquiao, and understands what it means to his career.
“This fight is real important,” said Broner. “This is a hell of a fight not only for me but for the sport. This is a fight that needed to happen for the sport and we are going to put on a hell of a show.”
Broner has always envisioned this moment and knows the moment is getting closer.
“I always knew that one day I would be having fights like this,” said Broner. “Honestly I thought he [Pacquiao] would be done with boxing by now but I always knew I would have a fight of this magnitude on this platform, pay-per-view and all and now I’m here.”
