Rusland Provodnikov dished out some serious punishment to Mike Alvarado on Saturday night

Photos from the 1STBANK Center in Denever, Colo., as Russia’s Ruslan Provodniko halts a game Mike Alvarado after ten heated rounds of action.

The fight was a back and forth affair early on, but Provodnikov (23-2, 16 KO’s) took control over the second half of the fight.

Provodnikov registered two knockdowns in the eighth round and after a big 10th, Alvarado (34-2, 23 KO’s) elected not to come out for the following stanza.
