The Denver Nuggets pulled off a thrilling 112-110 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Playoffs. 

The Clippers jumped to an early 15-point lead behind James Harden and Ivica Zubac, but Denver’s bench sparked a comeback, with three-time MVP Nikola Jokic orchestrating the offense.

Given their 11-25 record this 2014-2015 NBA season, it’s not surprising to expect some frustration coming from the Los Angeles Lakers’ organization.

Big news as Doc Rivers to be released from Boston and set to join the Los Angeles Clippers

According to a report from CBSSports.com on Sunday, June 23, the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics have reached an agreement to release coach Doc Rivers from his contract with the Celtics that would allow him to sign with Los Angeles in exchange for a first-round draft pick in 2015.

There are three years and $21 million left on Rivers’ contract that Los Angeles has also agreed to pick up.

The league will reportedly approve the deal that will send the pick over to Boston in exchange for the release of Rivers, who lead Boston to a championship in 2008.
