The Denver Nuggets pulled off a thrilling 112-110 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Playoffs.
The Clippers jumped to an early 15-point lead behind James Harden and Ivica Zubac, but Denver’s bench sparked a comeback, with three-time MVP Nikola Jokic orchestrating the offense.
Jokic finished with 29 points, 12 assists, and 9 rebounds, while Jamal Murray added 21 points.
Power forward Aaron Gordon scored 25, including clutch free throws late in overtime as Denver entertained their hometown fans.
The Nuggets erased the deficit, never trailing in overtime, and secured the win despite Clippers’ veterans Harden, with 32 points, and Kawhi Leonard with 27 points, stepping up.
This comeback win gives Denver a 1-0 series lead as the playoffs are finally under way.
Game two again takes place in Denver inside of Ball Arena, on Monday, April 21, at 8 p.m ET.
