How ’Bout Them Knicks!


For the first time since 1973, the New York Knicks are champions of the NBA. On Saturday night in San Antonio, New York beat the Spurs 94–90 to close out the 2026 Finals in five games, ending the longest title drought of any Original-team franchise and validating a roster, a coach, and a fan base that had spent decades being told it wasn’t quite enough.

It is the third championship in franchise history — joining the 1970 and 1973 teams that have lived in highlight reels and the memories of an aging generation — and the first that today’s Madison Square Garden crowd can call its own.

Brunson, Towns Power Knicks Past Hawks 113-102 in Playoff Opener

Madison Square Garden was rocking from the opening tip, and the New York Knicks gave the home crowd exactly what they came for. New York took care of business with a home win in Game 1, weathering a late comeback attempt by the Hawks to secure a 113-102 victory and a 1-0 series lead. 

It wasn’t always pretty, but it didn’t need to be. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for 53 points  to power New York through a spirited Atlanta challenge that kept things interesting deep into the fourth quarter.

With their backs against the wall, the New York Knicks delivered a very impressive victory on the road, upsetting the Indiana Pacers 106-100 in game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

With the emphatic victory, the Knicks now trail in the series, 2-1.

Indiana Pacers Hold Off Knicks’ Late Rally to Take 2-0 Lead in Eastern Conference Finals

The Indiana Pacers won again at Madison Square Garden, 114-109, defeating the New York Knicks in a more controlled game with 17 lead changes and 17 ties. 

Pacers forward Pascal Siakam was the standout, scoring a playoff career-high 39 points on efficient 15-23 shooting.

Indiana Pacers Defeat New York Knicks 138-135 in Miraculous Comeback

It was a wild scene on Wednesday night in New York, as the rallying Indiana Pacers handed the hometown Knicks a devastating 138-135 defeat in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Madison Square Garden was electric throughout, and the Knicks led by as much as 17 points in the fourth quarter and still held a 14-point advantage with less than three minutes remaining.

New York Knicks Use Late Run to Upend Detroit Pistons 123-112 in Game One

The New York Knicks were given a stiff test from the Detroit Pistons in game one of their opening round NBA Playoffs matchup.

Trailing in the fourth quarter, the Knicks used a 21-0 run to turn the tables and secure a 123-112 victory inside of Madison Square Garden.
