As the 2020 year moves forward, it has certainly been an interesting ride for the sport of boxing.
And believe it or not, one of the biggest matches left on the calendar year, in terms of overall buzz, is an exhibition between two legends of the sport: Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr.
Ever since it was announced that Tyson and Jones would be facing off in an eight-round exhibition (First scheduled for Sep. 12 and later rescheduled for November 28), the fight has been one many are talking about.

Clay Collard continued his amazing run in the sport of boxing this past weekend, as the former UFC fighter improved to 5-0 on the year with a second-round TKO over Maurice Williams in Las Vegas.
Collard (9-2-3, 4 KOs) started the year with three wins over previously undefeated prospects and has since scored two more victories. One of those victories was on ESPN over highly-regarded David Kaminsky on June 18.

Joe “The Beast” Smith Jr. once again delivered an emphatic victory this past weekend in knocking out former champion Eleider Alvarez in the ninth round on Saturday night.
Smith (26-3, 21 KO’s) and Alvarez (25-2 13 KO’s) were fighting in a WBO light heavyweight world title eliminator.

David Benavidez may no longer be the WBC super middleweight champion of the world, but he is still one of the most formidable fighters in whatever weight division he ends up moving forward in.
Benavidez lost his title on the scale on Friday, coming in nearly three pounds over the super middleweight limit of 168 pounds, yet he still dominated Alexis Angulo in the main event of a SHOWTIME telecast from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncassville, Conn., presented by Premier Boxing Champions.

This past October, the boxing world mourned the loss of a very courageous and inspiring individual in Patrick Day.
During his short time on earth, Day accomplished a lot and inspired many. Day, a native of Freeport, New York, was both a decorated amateur, as well as a fearless professional who constantly challenged himself in the ring.
