By Chris Robinson

In late April of last year, I was able to spend a few days with one of the sport’s top prizefighters, Tim Bradley, as he prepared for his huge showdown with Manny Pacquiao.

Bradley’s camp in Indio, California offered up an intimate look at a man full of confidence and focus as he meticulously prepared the daunting challenge that awaited him.

Having always been a fighter who loves to impose his mental and physical will in the trenches, I was quick to notice just how much of an emphasis Tim was putting on his footwork, speed, and angles for that particular camp.

With the Pacquiao fight now behind him, as Bradley (29-1, 12 KO’s) would end up pulling out a controversial split-decision on June 9th inside of the MGM Grand, the man nicknamed ‘Desert Storm’ is now eyeing a match with Russia’s Ruslan Provodnikov (22-1, 15 KO’s).

Ishe Smith, left, attacking Cornelius Bundrage this past weekend in Detroit, Michigan during his title-winning victory…

By Chris Robinson

This past weekend in Detroit, Michigan, Las Vegas native Ishe Smith finally realized his full potential in wrestling the IBF junior middleweight title away from Cornelius ‘K9’ Bundrage after twelve rounds of action.

Despite the scorecards ending up with a split-decision verdict, Smith clearly was the victor, as evidenced by his grit, fortitude, and better work rate over the second half of the fight.

One man who was certainly a curious spectator was junior middleweight contender Gabriel Rosado.

Fighting inside of the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan, the 23-year old Arias improved to 3-0 with 2 knockouts after halting an overmatched Edgar Perez inside of a single round.

Having seen his professional career momentarily sidetracked last year, Arias has now reeled off a pair of stoppage victories within three weeks of one another as he continues to ride the momentum that comes from being aligned with Floyd Mayweather’s promotional outfit.
