Analyzing the USA Women’s Soccer Team’s loss at the 2016 Olympics in Rio

The United States Women’s soccer team traveled to Rio to attempt to win Olympic Gold. Leading up to their defeat they played with confidence each game, starting from the preliminaries.

They started with a 2-0 victory over a talented New Zealand team; then beat France 1-0 to advance to the quarterfinal round of the Olympic Games.

This weekend, Rashad Ganaway will return to the ring in a very important matchup against the underrated Hylon Williams Jr.

Ganaway (17-5-1, 10 KO’s) and Williams (16-2-1, 3 KO’s) will meet inside of the Clear Channel Metroplex in Little Rock, Ar. on Saturday night, Aug. 20, with the IBF/USBA lightweight belt on the line.

This weekend will see top contender Carson Jones step back into the ring, as the Oklahoma City native will be following up on an April victory over Mikel Williams.

Jones’ 38-11-3 record with 28 knockouts is very deceiving, as he started his career at the age of 18 and was thrown to the wolves early, suffering some early setbacks that ended up becoming learning lessons.

Rejuvenated Chuy Gutierrez back to work inside of Pound 4 Pound in Las Vegas

When I swung through the Pound 4 Pound Boxing Gym in Las Vegas earlier this week, I noticed only a few key figures training and lurking inside of the gym.

I didn’t notice at the time, but shadowboxing inside of the Southwest corner of the gym was former WBC USNBC lightweight champion Jesus “Chuy” Gutierrez. Never one to talk too loud, the modest Gutierrez (14-1-1, 4 KO’s) was getting down to work and in his own space.

Inside of Johnny Tocco’s Ringside Gym in Las Vegas, you will find a great group of emerging prospects, both pro and amateur, during all times that the gym is open.

Earlier this week, Hustle Boss caught up with two of the gym’s top fighters, undefeated welterweight prospect Jeremy “J Flash” Nichols (5-0, 2 KO’s) and top amateur Alex “ATG” Thiel, as they put in some rigorous work with one another.
