Moments ago, from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather pulled out 12-round unanimous decision victory over Marcos Maidana in their rematch in front of a packed house.

Mayweather controlled the action with superior movement and counter-punching, pulling out the win by scores of 116-111 twice and 115-112.

Their was a lot of holding in the fight and in the eighth round it appeared as if Maidana actually bit Mayweather on his right glove.

When asked about a potential super fight with Manny Pacquiao next year, Mayweather seemed indifferent at first, suggesting the Filipino icon should instead focus on his upcoming opponent Chris Algieri, the world’s WBO junior welterweight champion, who he faces in two months in Macau, China.

Mayweather did seem at least open to a Pacquiao fight, stating ‘We’ll see what the future holds’.

Stay tuned for more updates.
