According to a report by ChristianPost.com on Tuesday, May 14, a pair of ID thieves have recently been busted while in Florida this past week.

Turns out that Nathaniel Troy Maye, 44, and Tiwanna Tenise Thomason, 39, who were accused of identity theft of thousands of innocent people, were caught by Florida police after they posted a “food porn” photo on Instagram.

“Food porn” is somewhat of a phenomenon on social media sites such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, where users share photos of the best meals and snacks they have consumed.

For Maye and Thomason, however, a recent photo of a simple steak with macaroni and cheese ended up getting the duo in trouble.

An anonymous tip to the IRS claimed that a man named “Troy” had been bragging about stealing as many as 700,000 identities, as reported by the New York Daily News.

The “food porn” photo from Maye and Thomason opened the door for authorities to identity that the couple had been at Morton’s steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale on the evening of a reported data exchange.

Expect much more on this breaking case in the coming days.
