Brian Cannady Jr. has emerged has one of the top prospects to watch coming out of Fort Myers, Florida.
Cannady, an undefeated junior featherweight, returns to the ring this weekend in nearby Tampa, where he will face off with veteran Samuel Gutierrez. The fight takes place inside of the Bryan Glazer Family JCC Auditorium, as Cannady will be looking to improve his 9-0 (5 KO’s) record.
Gutierrez (16-26-6, 6 KO’s) isn’t a world beater by any means, but he has some experience that he’ll be bringing to the ring. The Tamaulipas, Mexico native has been in with the likes of Shawn Simpson, Dylan Price, Gary Antonio Russell, Oscar Cantu, and several other prospects and veterans. Should be an interesting test to see where Cannady is at at this point in his young career.
Cannady is presently finishing up camp inside of the Team Willis Boxing & Family Fitness, and he’s been looking sharp.
Stay tuned this weekend for more coverage from Cannady’s fight this weekend.
