It was a few years back when Hustle Boss first linked up with Ronald “Showtime” Mixon.

At the time Mixon was working with the Bay Area trainer Ben Bautista and his son Izaiah, as they frequented various gyms around Las Vegas and all parts of California. Mixon was just months away from his professional debut back then and it was easy to spot his ability.

A lanky southpaw with a lot of height and reach, as well as some power, Mixon has since burst out to a 5-0 (4 KO’s) start to his young career. His latest showcase, this past Nov. 28, saw him stop Dyron Dorsey in the first round in Los Angeles.

As Mixon gets ready for a big push in 2016, he is on the verge of some big things taking place behind the scenes.

We caught up with the South Central native earlier this month, as we spotted him inside of the Palms Casino Resort during the Rances Barthelemy vs. Denis Shafikov weigh-in.

Check the video below for the latest on Mixon as well as a flash back to our early days covering him.
