As noted earlier, Hustle Boss was on hand inside of the Richard Steele Boxing Club this past weekend for the “All Comers” amateur showdown in Las Vegas this past Saturday.
Fourteen fast-paced bouts were held and it was one of the more memorable amateur shows in recent times. Check below for a recap of some of the day’s best action.
Young Robert Meriwether III, from the Mayweather Boxing Club, 10 years old, defeated Rodrigo Mosquera III.
Dante Langhorne, 10, fought a spirited effort but the judges saw in the favor of Anthony Lobatoz.
16-year old Yarisel Ramirez defeated Mercury Lemus, also 16.
Steele’s Boxing’s own Adonis Joyner,15, got the crowed hyped after stopping Jacob Campean,13, in the first round.
As mentioned in a previous post, City Athletic Boxing’s Dominique Clark and Bowe Van Dam both fought. Clark stopped Vincent Booker in the first while Van Damn overcame 2 knockdowns in the first round of his match vs. Kye Brooks before losing a decision.
We caught our first look at Alex Thiel, 22, as he captured a decision in a spirited scrap vs. Thomas Ordonez.
In the final bout of the day, Max Ornelas,17, edged Dustin Somera,18, in a fast-paced, technical thriller that had the building amped. Led by trainer Gil Martinez, Ornelas showed great poise throughout.
