We are mere hours away from tonight’s middleweight title showdown on HBO pay per view between WBA champion Gennady Golovkin and IBF champion David Lemieux from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The undercard has been rolling along, as it has been reported that WBO NABO junior welterweight champion Maurice Hooker has captured a ten-round split-decision victory over Ghislain Maduma. Hooker apparently got off to a fast start, even scoring a knockdown along the way, before surviving a late rally Maduma.

Two scores reading 95-93 and 95-94 were read in Hooker’s favor, with the third tally reading 95-93 Maduma. Hooker rises to 18-0-2 with 14 knockouts while Maduma falls to 17-2 with 11 knockouts.
