Earlier today, from Madison Square Garden in New York City, WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and IBF middleweight titlist David Lemieux made weight ahead of their HBO pay per view showdown on Saturday night.
Golovkin (33-0, 30 KO’s) hit the scales weighing 159.4 pounds while Lemieux (34-2, 31 KO’s) stripped down to get to 159.8 pounds.
The unification matchup is regarded as one of the biggest fights of the year and given the destructive nature and high knockout percentage of each man, it wouldn’t be out of question to expect a short and explosive night of action.
Check below for photos of Golovkin and Lemieux and stay tuned for more updates.
