Young Josue Vargas is officially back in Las Vegas training for his return to the ring.

Vargas, 18, has been training inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club the past few weeks and recently spoke with my colleague 1Tarrell of www.ClockInNotOut.com.

“Back in Vegas,” stated Vargas. “Came from New York and I’m not going back. I’m staying here for good now.”

Vargas is promoted by Mayweather Promotions and told his boss that he is ready to get things going again.

“I told Floyd I want to go back,” Vargas explained. “Stay focused, stay hungry. I really want it bad. so I came back.”

Vargas carries a 7-1 record with four knockouts but insists his lone blemish, a disqualification loss to Samuel Santana this past October, isn’t a real defeat.

“I got disqualified but we don’t count that as a loss,” Vargas stated. “I knocked him out. It should have been a no-contest but shit happens.”

Vargas expects to be back in the ring in June or July. Check the video below for more of his thoughts on training, sparring with IBF junior lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, and much more.
