A quick stop by the Mayweather Boxing Club this past week saw junior middleweight prospect Thomas Hill and welterweight upstart Charvis Holifield putting in some work ahead of their scheduled matches next month.

Holifield (1-1) is coming off of a 4th round disqualification loss to David Thomas this past November. In a fight he looked to be winning. Holifield’s mouthpiece came out one too many times shortly after he dropped Thomas in the 4th.

Working with veteran trainer Rafael Ramos, Holifield has improved leaps and bounds over the past year and is upbeat despite the bizarre nature of his defeat.

Holifield’s next stop looks to be this March 14 at the Sam’s Town Casino in Las Vegas, the same locale as his pro debut, while Hill (2-0) also is eyeing a March return.

Hill continues to improve under the guidance of Eddie Mustafa Muhammad and always stays busy sparring a wide array of characters in the gym.
