On Saturday night, June 20, inside of the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif., a pair of undefeated prospects will return to the ring on the undercard of the Andre Ward vs. Paul Smith BET-televised showdown.
Both Luis Arias (11-0, 4 KO’s) and Sonny Fredrickson (8-0, 5 KO’s) will be on the show, looking to bolster their unblemished marks.
Originally from Milwaukee, Luis ‘Cuba’ Arias (11-0, 4 KO’s) made a big name for himself early in his career fighting out of Las Vegas and under Mayweather Promotions. Having since relocated to South Florida, Arias is now signed to Roc Nation Sports and looking to make a statement in the middleweight division.
Arias is the type of fighter that will always leave an impression due to how much belief he has in himself and his INSTAGRAM is always a good place to keep up with the 24-year old’s training.
The 2o-year old Fredrickson will be competing in a six-round bout in the lightweight division.
Orignally from Toledo, Oh., Fredrickson was a decorated amateur, having won the Golden Gloves on five separate occasions.
“I am just finishing up camp now and everything went well,”said Fredrickson recently. “I have been doing 8-round sessions. I have been doing a lot of running, sprints and yoga.”
Fredrickson will be on the televised portion of the show and he is embracing the moment.
“This is short notice but I am ready to put on a show and showcase my talent in front of the world,” he stated.
This fight will be the second fight for Fredrickson since signing with Roc Nation Sports.
“I feel like Roc Nation will be huge,” Fredrickson claims. “It will grow into a big promotion and will take over boxing. They can do things for us boxers that no other company can do and I look forward to exploring all of those opportunities.”
