Darwin resurfaces

By Chris Robinson

When I first spotted Darwin Price, I could tell instantly that the kid had high ambitions with his career.

At that time, Price was on the verge of turning professional and has since reeled off a 5-0 mark with 3 knockouts. The brash St. Louis native gained respect after showcasing his skills all over the California area, including Abel Sanchez’ Summit Gym in Big Bear as well as Robert Garcia’s personal gym in Oxnard, Ca.

Price helped Marcos Maidana in camp ahead of his big upset over Adrien Broner and his sparring sessions with Chino were fun to take in. A highlight video below will showcase some exclusive footage of Price and “Chino” putting in work in late 2013.

Price would eventually shake up his training camp in California and head back home, where he enjoyed learning more of his craft alongside former two-division titlist Devon Alexander and trainer Kevin Cunningham.

No word yet on Price’s return but it’s noteworthy that he was recently spotted with renown trainer Ronnie Shields down in Houston, Tex.

Taking to his personal Instagram page, Price posted a photo of himself with Shields and the Twin Charlo brothers, Jermall and Jermell.

“Learning from the best!” an excited Price stated.

Not sure where this will lead but good to see Price keeping himself around great talent.

Stay tuned for more.
