At the moment, strength and conditioning coach Angel Heredia is still one of the most sought-after conditioning coaches in the sport of boxing.
In recent weeks, we have noticed Heredia out here in Las Vegas working with several fighters, including the likes of WBC super middleweight champion Badou Jack, former world champion Ishe Smith, the fighting Kameda brothers from Japan, as well as Juan Carlos Velasquez and his twin Carlos Ivan.
Jack (19-1-1, 12 KO’s) and Smith (27-7, 12 KO’s) have tough tasks ahead of them in the form of UK contender George Groves (21-2, 16 KO’s) and always-competitive Vanes Martirosyan (35-2-1, 21 KO’s). Jack will face off with Groves inside of the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada on Aug. 22.
Both Jack and Smith are key pieces of the Mayweather Promotions stable and Heredia prefers the tranquility and space of City Athletic Boxing for several of his workouts with them.
