Having been around the Las Vegas Fight Scene for some years now, I have seen my fair share of trainers around town. With so many gyms in the city, there are plenty of trainers and each of them has a unique approach to the sport.
In former kickboxing champion and former boxing contender Dewey Cooper, I have come to admire him as one of the most committed and hard-working people in the fight game when it comes to pushing his fighters. Cooper captured the WKC heavyweight and WKF cruiserweight titles as a kickboxer while also compiling a 19-3-3 record with 11 knockouts as a professional boxer.
I caught up with Cooper recently inside of One Kick’s Gym off of East Sunset Rd. earlier this month, and once again he was putting in work with some members of his Black Kobra Striking Systems squad.
