Lanardo Tyner is set to join the training camp of WBA interim welterweight champion Keith Thurman, who faces Robert Guerrero on March 7 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The rugged and raw Detroit native confirmed the news to HustleBoss.com on Wednesday night.

“Always wanna see what big punchers [are] like,” Tyner said of the talented Thurman, who boasts a 24-0 record with 21 knockouts.

Tyner calls the 26-year Thurman a “future star” and likes him to beat Guerrero next month.

Tyner, of course, is a familiar face to the Hustle Boss brand after being in the past two Floyd Mayweather training camps as a sparring partner as the Grand Rapids native readied himself for matches against Marcos Maidana.

Tyner endeared himself to the Las Vegas fight community after his time in camp and would love to return for some work one day.

“I can’t wait to come back that way,” said Tyner. “Them my brothers.”
