For longtime HBO boxing analyst Harold Lederman, it’s always a welcome site to take in former two-divison world champion Tim Bradley in action.
Bradley has become a staple on the network in recent times and his recent stretch of fights vs. Ruslan Provodnikov, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Manny Pacquiao have all delivered some form of intrigue.
Lederman will be sitting ringside from The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas tonight to check out Bradley (31-1, 12 KO’s) against tough Argentinean Diego Chaves (23-2, 19 KO’s) in an interesting pairing.
“I think that Diego Chaves is a live opponent,” Lederman said of the match. “Timothy Bradley is a really good fighter. Always in good condition. Leads in with his head so he’s a dangerous guy. Throws that nice overhand right that can hurt you.”
Because of the loss to Pacquiao, which saw Bradley sit out eight months afterwards, Lederman is unsure which guy shows up tonight.
“If Bradley fought last week, I’d say that Bradley wipes him out,” Lederman said. “But Bradley is coming off a layoff. He’s got to get his timing back, everything else back. I think Diego Chaves is a live opponent and has a really good chance to win this fight.”
