As is often the case, it’s been a hectic week in Las Vegas.
With two fight cards taking place later tonight from different venues, with the MGM Grand hosting Amir Khan vs. Devon Alexander and The Cosmopolitan across the street hosting the Tim Bradley vs. Diego Chaves encounter, there has been a wealth of coverage to report on.
I love both of the main events this weekend, as it gives us a gauge on some of the best talent in the welterweight class.
Shortly after the Khan-Alexander weigh-in took place, we were able to swing by the Cosmopolitan just in time for the Bradley-Chaves weigh-in.
For this match, Bradley is in tremendous shape and he hit the scales at 145.8 pounds while Chavez was 146.5, also appearing to be fully confident.
The HBO showdown will let us know just how hungry Tim is coming off of his tough points loss to Manny Pacquiao this past April. Bradley was very competitive early in the match but faded late as Pacquiao picked up steam.
Chaves is no easy return fight after eight months off and this should be a fun one.
