On Saturday night, inside of the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, Tim Bradley survived a scare in the face of Russia’s Ruslan Provodnikov during their HBO-televised welterweight title bout. Bradley was rocked in the first, staggered badly in the second, and survived a knockdown in the 12th and final round.
Scores of 115-112 and 114-113 were twice read in Bradley’s favor, as the sport’s reigning WBO welterweight champion sees his record rise to 30-0 with 12 knockouts. Â Provodnikov falls to 22-2 with 15 knockouts.
