On Friday afternoon, WBA/WBC/lineal middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and IBF middleweight champion Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs made weight ahead of their unification showdown. Canelo (51-1-2, 35 KO’s) and Jacobs (35-2, 29 KO’s) will meet inside of the T-Mobile Arena, with the fight airing exclusively on DAZN.
This is by far one of the biggest fights of 2019 and you could sense the emotions at the weigh-in. Jacobs hit the scale weighing 160 pounds while Canelo came in at 159.5 pounds. Each man looks to be in pristine shape for a fight that will no doubt be challenging on many fronts.
As the two fighters went to face off, they came forehead to forehead, with neither man wanting to give an inch. Soon a near-scuffle erupted as both sides were jockeying for position, while also trading words with one another.
Saturday night should be memorable.
