On Saturday night at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner improved his record to 26-0 with 22 knockouts in hammering a braved but outmatched Gavin Rees over the course of five rounds.
Despite going down in flames, Rees gave a solid account of himself with his gritty display, as he surely won over his share of fans.
As for Broner, he now appears to be setting his sights on the winner of the March 16th Ricky Burns-Miguel Vazquez title unification tilt.
