There was some brisk work between former IBF welterweight champon Shawn Porter and three-division world titlist Shane Mosley on Monday afternoon inside of Barry’s Boxing in Las Vegas, Nev.
Porter is coming off of his biggest victory to date with a resounding unanimous decision over Adrien Broner on June 20, while Mosley is eyeing an Aug. 29 return to the ring against Ricardo Mayorga in Los Angeles.
The work between the two men was fast-paced and even though Porter came at Mosley hard, you could always spot the respect between the two throughout their five rounds together.
There are hopes from Porter’s side that the Akron native will be in line for a pivotal clash with former WBC junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia next, and the work from Mosley was excellent considering that he doesn’t have an official fight date lined up.
