The last time we caught up with Zab Judah in Las Vegas, he wasn’t too far removed from the disappointment of seeing his then-scheduled Sep. 10 bout with Hevinson Herrera cancelled due to a scuffle between the two men at the weigh-in that forced his opponent to claim injury and pull out of the match.

Judah has been working hard with his team inside of City Athletic Boxing and now it looks like a new date may be in play for his return.

According to reports, it looks like the D Hotel in Las Vegas will be host to Judah’s return, as he is set to headline a card that will also feature former world champion Joseph “Kong Kong” Agbeko, female flyweight champion Ava Knight, and local fan favorite and former WBC USNBC champion Jesus “Chuy” Gutierrez on the same bill.

Agbeko (30-5, 23 KO’s) is signed to Roy Jones Jr.’s promotional outfit and has been putting in very rigorous work this year, both inside of the RJJ Fight Academy as well as the Mayweather Boxing Club.

Knight (13-2-3, 5 KO’s) defeatedĀ Guadalupe Martinez in her last bout in Washington, D.C. and she was recently spotted sparring at Pound 4 Pound Boxing with Australia’s Sky Nicolson ahead of this return.

Gutierrez (14-0-1, 4 KO’s) fought on the same card Judah was scheduled to appear on last month in New York, winning a six-round decision over Roberto Acevedo. Gutierrez’s excellent victory over Rashad Ganaway still rings in my mind and it’s exciting to see him fighting back in front of his hometown crowd.

Stay tuned for more details on this card.
