You can imagine the kind of predictions being thrown around regarding the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao super fight slated for May 2 and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

While Mayweather is a betting favorite heading into the match, there is no shortage of supporters backing Pacquiao, the beloved Filipino icon with a deadly punch.

It’s Mayweather’s great boxing pedigree vs. Pacquiao’s relentless attack and for WBA junior welterweight champion Jessie Vargas, the match is a long time coming.

“It’s a great fight,” Vargas recently told HustleBoss.com. “I’m excited to see it. The entire world is focused on this fight. They really want to see who is the best out there. Now it’s coming and we’re all excited.”

“A lot of twists and turns,” Vargas added. “It’s all about adjusting in this fight. It’s all about who is going to adjust better. They’re both very quick, they’re both very fast.”

Vargas trained inside of Mayweather’s gym and fought under his promotional banner for years before leaving for Top Rank in 2012, where he has since turned his sights towards a duel with Pacquiao.

Vargas knows each man is dynamic and believes someone must do something out of the ordinary in order to prevail.

“It’s who’s going to give the opponent the ultimate surprise?” Vargas asked. “Because they have to something different. They can’t just do the same things they did before. It’s going to be interesting.”

Vargas even went as far as to imply that Pacquiao’s future as President of the Philippines may be on the line with a win in the fight. Check below for more.
