It’s no secret that Las Vegas is regarded as the Fight Capitol of the world and there are always moves being made and new developments taking place by those in the Fight Game out here.
Hustle Boss recently got word that the Heavy Hitters Boxing Gym, formally known as the Pochiro Boxing Gym, is now open to the public. Fighters off all backgrounds and skill levels, from world-class to beginners, are welcome to stop by and give the facility a look.
We swung by the gym on Tuesday afternoon and crossed paths with a familiar face, 19-year old NABF junior flyweight champion Damien “Sugar” Vasquez. Young Vasquez had been training back in Colorado and is eager for a ring return later this year.
Vasquez’s father Oscar will be running the gym along with former heavyweight contender and current-day trainer Leroy Caldwell.
Other familiar faces inside of the gym included trainer Rodney Crisler and two of his fighters, including former WBC heavyweight champion Samuel Peter and prospect Zach Bunce.
Check below for a closer look and stay tuned to Hustle Boss in the coming weeks for more news coming out of Heavy Hitters.
