HustleBoss.com goes behind the scenes from the Pearl Theater inside of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, as several fighters from the Mayweather Promotions banner scores victories, including Cortez Bey, LaDarius Miller, Lanell Bellows, Ashley Theophane, Luis Arias, Andrew Tabiti, Ronald Gavril, and Badou Jack. In the evening’s main event, J’Leon Love was upset and stopped in the third round by Rogelio ‘Porky’ Medina.

Kevin Newman II set for his pro debut [A look back in photos]

Ever since crossing paths with Kevin Newman II inside of the Richard Steele Boxing Club five years ago, we’ve kept close tabs with the former standout amateur prospect. The ride has been a rewarding one, from seeing Kevin transition over the Johnny Tocco’s and later the Mayweather Boxing Club, all the while gaining invaluable experience learning from the Mayweather clan while testing himself sparring against a bevy of fellow prospects, contenders, and champions.

Newman is actually embarking on a completely different journey, as he is set to make his professional debut on Sept. 13 on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana II undercard at the MGM Grand. Newman also inked an exclusive deal with Mayweather Promotions, so expect to be seeing a lot of him in the coming months and years.

Photos from the Forum in Inglewood, Calif. as Mexico City’s Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40 KO’s) overcomes a spirited effort from Mike Alvarado to capture a unanimous decision victory by scores of 117-109 twice and 119-108 over 12 rounds.

Marquez dropped Alvarado with a hard right hand in the eighth and hit the deck himself one round later in a memorable pair of rounds.
