On Saturday night, April 16, inside of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, undefeated welterweight contender Errol Spence Jr. scored the biggest and perhaps the most electrifying victory of his career in stopping former champion Chris Algieri in the fifth.

Spence (20-0, 17 KO’s) was simply to precise and powerful for Algieri (21-3, 8 KO’s), who never could get into the fight. Spence dropped Algieri in the fourth and twice in the fifth before referee Benjy Esteves Jr. waived the contest off.

On Saturday night, former junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri defeated a game Erick Bone over the course of ten hard-fought rounds inside of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. With the win, Aglieri improves to 21-1 with eight knockouts and should be in line for a big fight in 2016, while Bone drops to 16-3 with eight knockouts.

Algieri was coming off of back-to-back defeats to Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan and knew he needed to make a statement against his Ecuadorian foe. A knockdown in the eighth round helped seal the deal for Algieri, as the Huntington, New York native prevailed by scores of 97-92 twice and 95-94.

This past Saturday night, inside of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Amir Khan overcame a very courageous Chris Algieri over 12 rounds.

Algieri was coming off of a lopsided unanimous decision defeat to Manny Pacquiao in November and he was a heavy underdog. Instead, the sharp-witted New Yorker found a way to prove the odds wrong by putting up a very spirited effort and even catching Khan with some big shots along the way.
