Exclusive photos: Alexis Santiago and his team settling into Puerto Rico ahead of Emmanuel Rodriguez showdown

Exclusive photos from Puerto Rico as bantamweight prospect Alexis Santiago (16-3-1, 7 KO’s) and his team settle into life on the island ahead of his Aug. 2 clash vs. unbeaten Emmanuel Rodriguez (9-0, 5 KO’s) at the Coliseo Cosme Beitia Salamo in Catano.

Santiago spent the core part of his camp training out of the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, Nevada before making an early trek to the island to settle in ahead of the Rodriguez match. Santiago is on the island with his trainer Rafael Ramos, his brother Ricky, friend Louis Olivera, and sparring mate Paul “Ziggy” Romero.

Photos: Guillermo Rigondeaux knocks out Looknongyantoy in one; Top Rank contract up

Undefeated unified junior featherweight world champion Guillermo “El Chacal” Rigondeaux (14-0, 9 KOs) scores a first round KO over two-time world title challenger Sod Looknongyantoy (63-3-1, 27 KOs) on Saturday night at the Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena.

Looknongyantoy was rocked by an accidental headbutt and went down. When action resumed, they touched gloves, then Rigondeaux pounced and immediately landed a combination that dropped him. The bout was waved off by referee Mark Nelson after just 1:44.

Rigondeaux and Top Rank will now go their separate ways.
