On Wednesday, March 6th, BoxingScene.com correspondent Ryan Maquinana showed fans a behind-the-scenes video, courtesy of Showtime Pay-Per-View, of the intense faceoff between Floyd Mayweather and Robert Guerrero ahead of their May 4th clash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In the video, Mayweather can be seen taking the offensive, boldly taunting Guerrero, who did his best to brush off Floyd’s verbal assaults as he grinned.
A few hours after the nearly three-minute clip hit the net, I showed Floyd’s trainer and Uncle Roger the video off of my iPhone during some down time from training inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club.

Victor Ortiz reveals that his corner told him to head butt Floyd Mayweather during their September 2011 bout
During a recent visit to Big Boy’s Neighborhood on Power 106 FM, former WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz reflected back on his September 2011 bout with Floyd Mayweather. In that fight, Ortiz was knocked out in the 4th round shortly after losing a point for an intentional head butt he delivered to Mayweather along the ropes.

The next opponent for former WBA junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana appears to be set, as an intriguing match with Riverside’s Josesito Lopez looks to be a go for June 8th in Carson, California at the Home Depot Center.
During a recent swing through the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Oxnard, I caught up with Maidana on the eve of a light training session and he spoke on the danger of his next assignment.
“Difficult opponent,” Maidana said with respect of Lopez. “Throws a lot of punches, but I am training to come out as a winner.”

Two-time National Amateur champion and former #1 Olympic seed Semajay Thomas is back training in Las Vegas at the Mayweather Boxing Club as his professional debut inches closer.
As HustleBoss.com recently reported, Semajay was recently in Colorado Springs helping WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner prepare for his February 17th clash with Gavin Rees in Atlantic City.
Thomas now finds himself in the fight capital of the world and will surely get all the work he needs as his March 19th debut in Elf Grove, Illinois is just around the corner.

Saturday night, February 23rd, will forever go down as a special one for Luis ‘Cuba’ Arias.
Fighting inside of the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan, the 23-year old Arias improved to 3-0 with 2 knockouts after halting an overmatched Edgar Perez inside of a single round.
Having seen his professional career momentarily sidetracked last year, Arias has now reeled off a pair of stoppage victories within three weeks of one another as he continues to ride the momentum that comes from being aligned with Floyd Mayweather’s promotional outfit.
